Chicago Dramatists is dedicated to bringing the art and craft of playwriting to communities across Chicago. We have proudly partnered with a series of organizations, and are committed to the growth and development of playwrights here in Chicago, that tell every story.

About Chicago HOPES for Kids: Chicago HOPES for Kids provides educational support for children living in Chicago's homeless shelters. It is their mission to provide our students with the resources and encouragement needed to succeed academically, despite the challenges of homelessness. Chicago Dramatists is the most recent addition to their creative arts outreach team, wherein we send playwrights and theater artists into the shelters to provide direct support and additional skill sets to these children in transitional and at-risk circumstances.
