Lydia R. Diamond
New Play Award

In honor of playwright, former resident, and friend Lydia R. Diamond, Chicago Dramatists has developed the Lydia R. Diamond New Play Award. This is a new award that will be given annually to an African-American playwright.

Your support will help cover organization fees as well as developmental fees to help bring a new work by an African-American playwright to life from the first stage of its creative process on.
