Decade of the Dramatists: Leap Forward

The Decade of the Dramatists has kicked off with our 2020 Fundraising Campaign: Our Living Legacy. Our goal is to raise $100,000 to bolster the company's staff and technical capabilities. You can find the campaign page by clicking here.

To begin the campaign, we will be holding an event on February 29th entitled Leap Forward. We will provide drinks and hors d'ouerves before heading into the theatre to explain how the campaign will work, go through all of the improvements we have planned, and answer any questions you, our beloved community members, may have. 

Following this discussion we will have a short reading of three new 10 minute plays by some of our very own Chicago Dramatists playwrights!  Those writers and their plays will include:  Network Member Connie Kuntz's play Hotbed, Network Member Carl Maronich's play A Proper Man, and Network & First Draft Member Daniel Taube's play Death of an Actor.  Additionally, Chicago Dramatists Instructor and solo storyteller Janna Sobel will present a 10 minute story of her own.  It's going to be a tremendous night of theater, and you won't want to miss it!
